The top of the Uetliberg, the UTO Kulm, 871 meters above sea level, is a hiking destination which can be easily reached from several places in the city of Zurich.

You can hike to the Uetliberg summit (about 1 hour):

1 The varied Denzlerweg leads from Albisguetli (end of tram line 13) in a rather straight line to the summit.
2 Also from Albisguetli there’s a lantern path a little further west on the ridge
3 From Triemli (end of tram line 14), the Hohensteinweg leads over a shoulder of the mountain which is a very popular sledding spot in winter.
4 From Uitikon-Waldegg (car park) a forest road leads to the peak. This path has the smallest slope.

Trails around the Uetliberg

The Uetliberg, Zurich’s local mountain, is the most popular excursion destination around Zurich: easily accessible, with impressive views of the city of Zurich, Lake Zurich and the Alps.

Countless paths and trails – even mountain paths – run through the forested area. Best known is the ridge trail from Uetliberg over the Felsenegg to the Albis Pass or further over the Albishorn to the Sihlbrugg village.
